El funeral del duque de Edimburgo ha dejado una potente imagen que está impactando en Reino Unido porque muchos no habían visto nunca algo así: Isabel II, completamente sola.
La estampa ha tenido lugar en capilla de San Jorge, donde la reina de Inglaterra se ha sentado sin nadie a su alrededor. La razón de la soledad es evidente: las restricciones de aforo por el coronavirus ha obligado a reducir a 30 el número de asistentes en lugar de los 800 que se reunirían en circunstancias normales.
Además, los asistentes no convivientes han tenido que guardar la distancia de seguridad durante la ceremonia, y todos ha tenido que llevar mascarilla. Todas esas circunstancias han provocado una foto nada habitual de Isabel II, que ha provocado reacciones como estas:

No ha sido ésta la única imagen que ha dado mucho que hablar en el acto. Los príncipes Guillermo y Harry se han dejado ver durante la procesión ceremonial, pero no iban juntos. Entre ellos había una persona, su primo Peter Philips, que se ha llevado parte del protagonismo.
″¿Le han puesto ahí en medio por si se desata una pelea?”, “No puedo dejar de pensar en qué estará pensando Peter mientras camina entre Harry y William.
